Diigo #5
I really liked the ability to connect and collaborate through diigo. I'm definitely going to use this or some other form of social bookmarking in my future career as a teacher. One person can' t find everything there is to find on the internet, so we have to come together and share to make the giant mess of tools available online, a little smaller and more useful. In order to become a successful teacher, I believe I need to be able to use social bookmarking and tagging and all the other thing we learned through Diigo.

ILP- Class Dojo
For my ILP I put together a Class Dojo. I actually really liked this tool, its a good way to keep parents, students, and the teacher connected. The teacher can reward, penalize, and post stories to the site. It is probably going to be most useful for younger students because each student is given a little monster and is very easy to understand. It also can give teachers a progress report which will show the teacher what the class needs to improve on the most.
#8powerpoint and other teacher things
While getting the tour of the lab, I saw a lot of technologies that I didn't even knew existed. One that I found especially useful was the Echo Smartpen. I find that a lot of students find it difficult to concentrate in class and I believe this pen is a easy solution. We all dose off and doodle sometimes while taking notes and if your using this pen you can touch the pen to your doodles and listen to the lecture from that exact point on.
In Bloom's taxonomy there are 6 levels. We can use powerpoint for each level. For the first level, create, we would create the powerpoint with the most basic structure necessary. In evaluate, you'd put support for what you're teaching. Analyze is where you differentiate and organize your information. Apply is where you may put things in your powerpoint to show how the information is executed and seeing if your students can apply the information in their own ways. For understand, having a section in the powerpoint where the students need to explain what was learned to see if they understand it. Lastly, for remember you can put a short quiz at the end of the powerpoint.

Diigo #4
I learned that assistive technologies aren't just for students who have disabilities. These tools can help every student in the classroom if used in the right way. ESE and ESOL students may need it more but I think it has a positive affect on everyone who uses them.

#7 adaptive technologies
Adaptive technologies are helping students get ahead in their education. Technologies like word prediction software make students type in a quicker and more effective manner. When it comes to students with disabilities, there are a lot of technologies there to help them. I remember in my first couple years of school, a disabled boy in a wheelchair named David was always in my class. He was unable to speak and could barely move even his hands. He was given a computer that he would press buttons in order to communicate. Some challenges, that may occur with adaptive technologies is that is may glitch or mess with the students work. I don't see technology being perfect in the near future.
I learned a lot while making my webpage, since it was my first time. I really liked how simple it was, but it also felt to user friendly. Sometimes I felt like I could place thing exactly where or how I wanted them. Next time I may look into more complicated templates. msmckernan.weebly.com
I actually missed our last class so I didn't do the new Diigo assignment, but I really enjoyed using it. I can actually see myself using this website in the future to collaborate with other teachers.
